‘Eis’ In Christ

Eis‘ in…Preaching ‘In’ the name of Jesus signifies the AUTHORITY Paul had to preach, WHILST gathering in ‘eis’ his name signifies our IDENTIFICATION with the Lord. Similarly baptized ‘into’ (eis) Christ Gal 3;27. also indicates IDENTIFICATION with Christ. The command to be baptized is ‘in’ eis or into the name.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (Matthew 28;19) Peter declared, Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2;38).  Peter would not have had authority to demand a baptism unless he had demanded they be baptized into Jesus and into his name.

Think of this I am baptized INTO the name. Baptized into the one who bears that name. I become his and he becomes mine. I am baptized into the family that bear that name. We have AUTHORITY  to preach because we preach in his name. We by being baptized INTO the name are ourselves IDENTIFIED with Christ. and we cannot have one without the other. We cannot preach Jesus without being baptized into him. Our AUTHORITY comes out of our IDENTITY. Only when I’m his by baptism i can declare him by authority. His name is the authorization to do anything that declares him, preaches him or builds his church. Paul said do all things in his name (Colossians 3;17).

Secondly the word ‘eis’ meaning ‘into’ is used in the following and Ill explain briefly why it’s important to note this.
They went into (eis) Capernaum (Mark 1;21) Whatsoever we have heard done in (eis) Capernaum (Luke 4;23).
He went into (eis) the synagogue (Luke 4;16). He taught them in (eis) their synagogue (Luke 4;15). I can come to Christ but it does not mean I am IN Christ. Today’s preaching is a ‘coming to Christ’ that’s why it don’t work! I can for example go to London but it does not mean I am IN London. I can go to Texas but it does not mean I am IN Texas. Similarly many go to the altar and ‘come to Christ’ but are they saved? Only if we are IN Christ! If any man be IN Christ he is a new creature behold all things are passed away and all things have become new. (2 Cor 5:17).

Don’t go to Christ. Get baptized INTO Christ the you are baptized for the remission of all sins. Hallelujah. Baptism works. Acts 2:38
